However, I wasn’t on a journey to throw a trinket into the Cracks of Doom. I (we, actually) have just returned from a trip to Central PA (to visit Ron’s family and drop off the cat), then to Los Angeles (to visit my family & friends), then back to retrieve said cat and thence to State College, PA for New Years Eve & Day with good friends (and a quick stop at Comic Swap to pick up the first two parts of The Authority (1, 2)), and finally home sweet home.
I’m not really one for new year’s resolutions, I’m more of a continual improvement sort of fellow. In 2004 I will, however, listen to more Changesurfer Radio in the coming year. And renew my membership in the World Transhumanist Association. Perhaps, just perhaps, rejoin the Extropy Institute. Why?
Because that’s the kind of geek I am.
Because I consider myself Future Shock proof, and I intend to remain that way.
Because the best way to predict the future is to help create it.
Because it’s damned fun.
